Wine + Design Lunch
Location: Private Residence of Stephanie & Dick Fredericks
Friday, May 17, 2019
12:00 PM – 2:30 PM
Nestled along meandering wine country roads, tucked behind ornate private gateways, Sonoma Valley is home to many exclusive estates that are as spectacular as they are secluded. Stephanie and Dick Fredericks, owners of what may be one of the oldest hillside vineyards in California, will open up their private residence to a handful of Signature Sonoma Valley guests for a memorable WINE+DESIGN lunch. Sitting about 900 feet up along steep contoured terraces, with panoramic 50 mile views of the San Francisco Bay, the property is as unique as it is historic – a highly sought after vineyard site for Sonoma Valley vintners for Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel. Dine alongside Dick and Stephanie, and the people behind the vines of this incredible site, tasting small lot Sonoma Valley wines produced from the historic Fredericks Vineyard.
FEATURING WINES FROM: Turley Wine Cellars, Beltane Ranch, and Ordaz Family Wines
Fredericks Vineyard Estate
The Fredericks purchased the property in 2005 from the Weise Family – the original owners who homesteaded the property in the early 1850’s. Jim Murphy & Associates was hired to build a traditional California Wine Country farmhouse designed by Backen Gillam & Kroeger Architects, featuring an underground wine cellar fit for an avid wine collector, and a free-flowing floor plan that blends the living spaces seamlessly with the outdoors. A nod to the already storied property, the home is adorned with highly acclaimed Native American Art collectibles.
