RETROSPECTIVE

Join fellow wine aficionados and collectors for an extremely rare retrospective tasting showcasing the vintages across four decades from iconic Sonoma Valley winery, Chateau St. Jean. Chateau St. Jean’s, Margo Van Staaveren, will lead the exclusive tasting and panel discussion to provide perspectives on the nuances of each vintage. Only 38 seats will be available for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The complex interplay of topography, varying microclimates and a marine layer, and idyllic volcanic soils of Bennett Valley provide ideal conditions for growing premium winegrapes such as Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Syrah. A unique occurrence is that varietals like these, and more, thrive within such close proximity of one another, a true testament to the remarkable terroir of the Bennett Valley appellation.

At ICON: A Grand Terroir Tasting, thirty top winemakers will share wines that define the character of each region. Ram’s Gate Executive Chef, Stacey Combs, will craft a dinner menu of locally-sourced and artfully prepared dishes designed to highlight these distinctive wines with perfectly paired ingredients. Each wine has been chosen by our highly selective Sommelier Panel for its significance and sourcing.
