Arriving at this Sonoma Valley property is like taking a curated step back in time. This transcendent victorian ranch house, built in 1892 as a country escape (and at one time, brothel), was recently restored and updated room-by-room. Named by Forbes as one of the US’s most Luxurious Farm Retreats, the historic landmark is surrounded by breathtaking gardens and is known for it’s unique style of hospitality. The fifth and sixth generation owners will welcome guests with an opportunity to explore the inn and grounds before settling beneath dramatic oaks, overlooking estate vineyards. Guests will be joined by the family and winemaker for an inspiring WINE + DESIGN lunch, thoughtfully crafted to highlight the ranch’s award-winning sustainably-farmed estate wines.

Founded in 1857 by Count Agoston Haraszthy, Buena Vista Winery is considered the birthplace of California wine. The original stone buildings on property that now serve as the Champagne Cellars and Press House have been restored to their original grandeur by proprietor Jean-Charles Boisset. Jean-Charles and his team were awarded the California Preservation Design Award for Craftsmanship and Preservation Technology for the renovation work, which included a team of highly skilled stonemasons and craftsmen. Guests will be invited to dine within these beautifully restored walls and enjoy a very special gourmet lunch prepared by renowned Chef Victor Scargle of Atelier Fine Foods & Catering paired with premier wines from the historic cellars of Buena Vista.

Get an exclusive peek inside this modern architectural showpiece designed by Sonoma Valley winegrower and internationally acclaimed architect, Jeff Zimmerman of Zimmerman + Associates. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gain access to this unique property, guests will enjoy a private tour of the property and explore the personal art collection and wine cellar of Michael and Kate, two Sonoma Valley luminaries, followed by a hand-crafted farm-to-table lunch prepared by one of Sonoma’s star chefs and paired with Muscardini’s world-class Sonoma Valley wines by Sommelier Chris Sawyer.
