Deftly integrating references from the property’s iconic history into a stunning setting and uniquely rustic vibe, Beltane Ranch’s Wine + Design Lunch is a journey not to be missed. Striking elements from centuries past provide the perfect patina to a most current and purposefully-designed experience. Greeted with best-in-class award-winning wines from the vineyard the estate overlooks, guests will be treated to a feast for the senses, including exploration of the restored landmark inn, gardens, dramatic florals and an open-fire roasted lamb. Each course will be a modern spin on a fascinating period in the ranch’s history, paired with the property’s handcrafted, small production estate wines and served with style.  Fifth generation owners and the winemaker will accompany guests through this most unique experience.

Founded in 1857 by Count Agoston Haraszthy, Buena Vista Winery is considered the birthplace of California wine. The original stone buildings on property that now serve as the Champagne Cellars and Press House have been restored to their original grandeur by proprietor Jean-Charles Boisset. Jean-Charles and his team were awarded the California Preservation Design Award for Craftsmanship and Preservation Technology for the renovation work, which included a team of highly skilled stonemasons and craftsmen. Guests will be invited to dine within these beautifully restored walls and enjoy a very special gourmet lunch prepared by renowned Chef Victor Scargle of Atelier Fine Foods & Catering paired with premier wines from the historic cellars of Buena Vista.

The DONUM ESTATE, located in the Carneros region, is a world-class producer of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, has recently debuted a new tasting room, the Donum Home. The building, meant to feel like an elegant old farmhouse, sits at the center of its 187-acre property and was designed by San Francisco-based MH Architects with principal architect Matt Hollis. “The Donum Home is intended to inspire tranquility and enhance guests’ focus on the flavor profile of the wines,” Hollis said. “The incredible sculpture park only enhances the other-worldly experience. The property is home to almost 30 different sculptures from renowned artists like Ai Weiwei, Yue Minjin, and Keith Haring. Guests are invited to walk the estate, with a glass of Pinot in hand, and take in the spectacular grounds and artwork. With green rolling hills, a picturesque lake, and perfectly tended vineyards, the natural beauty of the property is breathtaking. Throw in Arturo Di Modica’s Charging Bull, Richard Hudson’s Love Me, and Zang Wang’s Artificial Rock, and The DONUM ESTATE is a winery truly like no other.
