Tastings by Appointment OnlyMore Details

A slice of Italy right here in Sonoma! Spread over 11 acres, we are a boutique family operation – grapes, wine, and lots of fun things to walk around and see!

We offer curated wine tastings, agricultural and eco-tourism tours, and inviting spaces for private milestone events on an intimate and human scale.

Wine: The “Sonocaia” (So-No-Kī-Ah) Estate Reserve is a collection of the annual vintages of our ultra-premium Sagrantino, a rich and tanninc red wine from the tiny region of Montefalco in Umbria, Italy. The fruit is grown on site here at the winery, at the Hydeout Ranch in Sonoma, right on the border between the Sonoma Valley and Carneros appellations.

Tours: There is always something going on during every season at the ranch. We can integrate a tour of the ranch with your tasting experience. Add a walking tour to your itinerary. Visit the wild animal sanctuary, the Arroyo Seco Creek (flowing in winter, dry in summer), chicken coop, bee hives, olive trees, fruit orchard, owl boxes, vineyard, and more.

Events: Join our extensive list of partners from all walks of life and participate in our interactive “TED talk” style seminars – sometimes a day-long yoga retreat, or a lecture from a former tech CEO, local artist, or learn all about growing grapes and making wine. Keep an eye out for announcements and the schedule.

Farming: 100% of our farming operations are organic including vineyard, olives, chickens, fruit trees, and vegetable gardens. We have two sources of irrigation water – a deep well which we use rarely and sparingly, and an 18 foot-deep hand-dug surface well, filled entirely by rain water, and which supplies all of our irrigation water needs from spring through August.
