Tucked just off the beaten path in Glen Ellen, GlenLyon is a lively, family-owned hidden gem where exceptional wine, genuine hospitality, and a good sense of humor come together. With more than 40 harvests behind us, we’re proud to be a small, sustainably operated winery passionate about sharing our craft with guests seeking an authentic and memorable Sonoma Valley experience.

While we aren’t open to the general public, we’d love to welcome you for a private VIP wine experience unlike any other.

Join larger-than-life vintner and winemaker Squire Fridell for an intimate, behind-the-scenes tour of our working winery. Walk through the crush pad, explore the barrel room, and get a sneak peek inside Squire’s winemaking lab. And if you happen to visit while we are harvesting, pruning, or bottling, you may even have the chance to roll up your sleeves and join in on the action (really)!

Your visit will conclude with an exclusive tasting of wines reserved for members of our wine club, The GlenLyon Wine Clan (we are descended from the Scots, after all), with thoughtfully curated small-bite pairings prepared by Squire’s wife, Suzy. You’ll find yourself perched on the GlenLyon Overlook, where sweeping views of Sonoma Mountain and our Syrah and Cabernet vineyards provide the perfect backdrop. After your tasting, you’re welcome to wander the vineyards and head up to the top of our water tower for a spectacular view (and a photo op or two)!
