The Stone Edge Farm Winery story began in 1995 when Mac and Leslie McQuown discovered a special place at the base of Sonoma Mountain to grow outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Mac joined forces with his friend, Jeff Baker, who brought to their venture four decades of winemaking experience and a vineyard of his own — Mount Pisgah, located high on the west slope of the Mayacamas Mountains that separate the Napa and Sonoma valleys. Mac and Jeff launched Stone Edge Farm Estate Vineyards & Winery in 2004, blending the best lots from their respective vineyards to make the kind of wine they love to drink, with the balance and structure to age gracefully and reward the collector.
