DESCRIBE YOUR SONOMA VALLEY ROOTS?
I am a fifth generation Sonoma farmer and cherish the agricultural way.
WHAT SETS SONOMA VALLEY APART?
I think Sonoma is unique due to its diverse soils and micro climates. As growers, it gives us the ability to grow many different varieties, all of the highest quality.
FAVORITE PLACE ONLY THE LOCALS KNOW?
It’s no longer a secret but the farmers markets during the summer months offer some of the most relaxing and enjoyable evenings. The food, family, friends and WINE make for an awesome evening.
LESSON YOU CHERISH FROM YOUR PARENT’S GENERATION?
My parents have worked so hard and were able to instill in my siblings and I a passion for agriculture and stewardship.
ONE OF YOUR GUILTY PLEASURES?
A Sierra Nevada and a Saags salami stick from Broadway Market.
WHAT ARE YOU INSPIRED BY?
I am inspired by those who came before me. They are the influences that have helped mold and instill in me a passion for agriculture.
FAVORITE WINE (BESIDES YOUR OWN)?
Not an easy one… Patz and Hall and Flowers are both making solid wines.
WHAT WOULD YOUR LAST MEAL BE?
If I had to choose one last meal I would probably lean towards prime rib with a heap of horseradish. Started of course with a bunch of different cheeses!
FAVORITE HOLIDAY TRADITION?
Every Thanksgiving my good ol’ Italian family will make sausage to give out. This year we made around 200lbs!
HOPES FOR THE FUTURE?
I hope that as our wine industry evolves, Sonoma will continue to lead and be recognized as a top wine region. On a personal level, I hope to continue to share my love of agriculture with family and friends.
