Estate Vineyard Walk & Tasting with Vintner Katie Bundschu

Venture off the beaten path during this special vineyard tour and tasting with sixth-generation Vintner, Katie Bundschu, and Sustainability Manager, Meghan Siemers. Explore the Abbot’s Passage estate on foot and learn about the practices that help craft field blend, co-fermented wines reflective of the natural land, vintage and varietals we are provided. You’ll also learn about the old-growth 1940s plantings of Zinfandel vines that were carefully grafted over to keep the longevity of this historic estate alive. Meghan will share the estate’s sustainability story including organic farming, protecting their watershed, the vineyard ecosystem, and more. Your journey will culminate in a 157-year-old barrel cellar with a guided wine tasting led by Katie, along with a Chef’s inspired grazing board. This is a special one-time experience limited to 14 people.

Sangiacomo Family Wines has enhanced its signature wine tasting experience with a walk through their historic Home Ranch Vineyard, the land where the Sangiacomo family laid down their roots in the Sonoma Valley almost one hundred years ago. The Signature Terrace Tasting and Vineyard Experience allows guests to be immersed in this Sangiacomo Estate Vineyard before enjoying a seated wine tasting, featuring their Sonoma Coast Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and a selection of their single-vineyard wines. Through this grape-to-glass experience, guests will gain a deeper understanding of the sustainable farming practices the Sangiacomo’s use to produce world class wine grapes.

Pinz Excursion

Climb aboard Gundlach Bundschu’s Pinzgauer, a Swiss Army transport vehicle, for an off-roading experience across their estate vineyards known as Rhinefarm, established in 1858. While you cruise through organic vineyards, your guide will take you on a journey of the property, its history as the oldest family-owned winery in Sonoma Valley and what makes these wines so unique. You’ll stop at several spots in the vineyard, including a respite to enjoy wine along with cheese and charcuterie. What happens on the Pinz stays on the Pinz, so if your friends back home want to know, well, they’re just going to have to see for themselves.
