Join us for an exclusive vineyard tour and tasting experience at Rancho Salina Vineyards in the renowned Moon Mountain District AVA. Hosted by winemaker Michael Muscardini and vineyard steward J.E. Paino, this behind-the-scenes event offers a rare opportunity to explore a historic vineyard before harvest.
Rancho Salina, planted in the 1980s by Dom Paino—whose roots trace back to the Sicilian island of Salina—shares a property line with the iconic Monte Rosso Vineyard. While Dom originally dreamed of planting Sicilian varieties, the unique terroir proved ideal for Bordeaux grapes, leading to the exceptional wines produced here today.
This immersive experience includes an in-depth vineyard walk and a guided discussion with both the grower and winemaker, offering insight into the relationship between Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in this distinctive terroir. The event culminates in an elevated cheese pairing curated to complement a flight of Moon Mountain wines, showcasing the wines at a special point in their ageing development.
Don’t miss this intimate look at the land, the people, and the passion behind our Moon Mountain wines.
