MEADOWCROFT WINES: SPRING FLING

“Swing into Spring” with a pairing of some palate pleasing nibbles to accompany the release of three new 2013 white wines from Meadowcroft, all of which arrive just in time for the warmer Spring weather. Cost is $15 per person and free for Meadowcroft Wine Club members. Reservations are recommended by calling the tasting room at 707/934-4090.
The menu, prepared by Meadowcroft’s Chef Darby Tarantino, includes Delicate Greens with Cypress Grove Goat Cheese served with the 2013 Meadowcroft Sauvignon Blanc. Prosciutto and Pear with Honey and a Dijon Vinaigrette paired with the 2013 Meadowcroft Viognier, and Steamed Edamame with Spicy Soy Glaze served with the 2013 Meadowcroft Riesling. Chef Darby is a graduate of the Ballymaloe Cookery School in County Cork, Ireland. The school is the only one in the world set in the middle of its own 100 acre organic farm.
The Meadowcroft Wines tasting room features the Meadowcroft, Foyt Family and Thomas Henry labels. The tasting room is part of the Cornerstone Sonoma complex that features 24 world class gardens, a gourmet café, art galleries and cutting edge design shops all set among acres of vineyards.
