Celebrated author and illustrator of The California Field Atlas, Obi Kaufmann will talk about his book, his endeavors to portray and preserve the golden state’s wilderness and natural ecosystems and his journey from designer to tattoo artist to poet and acclaimed author. He will also lead a short workshop in botanical drawings.
The workshop is $20 a person, and includes mesmerizing tales from “the modern-day John Muir,” artistic inspiration and, of course, a glass of Abbot’s Passage wine. Space limited to 12 people.
