WINE SUBMISSION

IMMERSION: VINEYARD EXPLORATION + TASTING

Immersion is an exploration of Sonoma Valley’s most iconic vineyards. The experience will include a vineyard walk, followed by a seated tasting and sommelier moderated discussion with a panel of winemakers and winegrowers who specialize in each site and/or topic.

PLACE MATTERS

Perhaps in more than any other agricultural product, when it comes to winegrowing – place matters. Explore the splendor of Sonoma Valley terroir through learning and tasting about the regions varied soil types, micro-climates, clones and other factors that create the regions’ complex and acclaimed wines. See first-hand how the Valley’s diverse vineyards come together to create the distinctive wines the region is known for worldwide.

WINE QUANTITY FOR EVENT: 6 BOTTLES

SELECTION CRITERIA

1. Submitted wines should be of exceptional quality for the vintage, variety, and style.
2. Submission can be a current release or back vintage from any vineyard site within the Bennett Valley, Los Carneros, Moon Mountain, Sonoma Mountain, or Sonoma Valley AVAs (one wine will be selected from each AVA).
3. If you choose to submit a back vintage or library wine, we will accept a written description of the wine rather than a tasting sample. In this case, wine submissions will be evaluated solely on written description and technical notes submitted.
