Deerfield Ranch Winery will host the 13th Annual Checkerbloom Gala Saturday, June 16 @ 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Proceeds benefit the restoration of the Kenwood Wetlands, a wildlife habitat. The theme for this year’s event is “40’S SUPPER CLUB”. Tickets for the event are $125 per person/$100 per person for Wine Club members.

The evening will begin on the crush pad overlooking the Kenwood Wetlands followed by a 1940’s-themed dinner, prepared by Deerfield’s Executive Chef, Christine Rex. Performing at the event will be Dirty Cello, a Bay Area high-energy, cello-led blues and bluegrass band. This year they will be hosting an art auction featuring local artist Fred Parker, Dan Saper who makes glass-blown vases, and Amy Nelder from the Chloe Gallery in San Francisco. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the restoration of the Kenwood Wetlands.

The proceeds from this event will be donated to the Kenwood Marsh Checkerbloom Society.

The Kenwood Marsh Checkerbloom Society, a non-profit organization founded by PJ Rex, owner of the Deerfield Ranch Winery, manages the restoration and maintenance of the Kenwood Wetlands and protection of the endangered Kenwood Marsh Checkerbloom. To permanently protect the unique habitat, Deerfield Ranch Winery granted a permanent conservation easement to the County of Sonoma. “This rare wetland is a jewel in the heart of the wine country. Artists come to paint it, photographers come to shoot it, and bird and animal lovers come to enjoy it,” says PJ.
