HISTORIC VINEYARD DESIGNATES – WHAT DOES A CENTURY YIELD?
A very limited number of seats are available for this special Immersion set in Louis M. Martini’s historic Monte Rosso Vineyard – one of California’s most prized locations for grapes. Each of the featured wines in this unique tasting are single vineyard wines exclusively from this highly acclaimed vineyard site dating as far back as 1880. Taste and learn how ancient vines produce wines of remarkable character and depth, but in very small quantities. Following a vineyard exploration with Brenae Royal, Monte Rosso Vineyard Manager, there will be a lively discussion led by author and wine critic, Antonio Galloni with a panel of winemakers who have mastered the art of coaxing the most out of these vineyards that have withstood the test of time.
Monte Rosso Vineyard rolls across steep, rugged terrain in the majestic Mayacamas Mountains nearly 1,300 feet above the Sonoma Valley. Owned by the Louis M. Martini Winery since 1938, it is named for its rich, red volcanic soils and has produced award winning wines for three generations. The vineyard’s mix of high altitude, position above the fog, low-yielding vines, and ideal western exposure produces wines with a unique sense of terroir.
