The complex interplay of topography, varying microclimates and a marine layer, and idyllic volcanic soils of Bennett Valley provide ideal conditions for growing premium winegrapes such as Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Syrah. A unique occurrence is that varietals like these, and more, thrive within such close proximity of one another, a true testament to the remarkable terroir of the Bennett Valley appellation.

California winemakers have followed suit, making Rhône’s and Rhône-style blends a staple and cult classic. With similar growing conditions and versatility, Sonoma Valley’s Rhône-style wines rival that of Europe’s, today. Graceful and complex in character, world-class Rhône’s have been produced in Sonoma Valley for years, and they are here to stay.

UNDERSTANDING THE EXCEPTIONAL TERROIR OF MOON MOUNTAIN VINEYARD

Guests will stroll the vineyard where they will examine firsthand the ancient terroir of Moon Mountain Vineyard. Afterward they will enjoy an intimate conversation with Jim and Erich to learn the remarkable history of the property while savoring the sense of place that defines it. Attendees will taste a vertical of Cabernet Sauvignon, including prized gems from vintages dating back more than 30 years. The experience will provide Immersion guests with a comprehensive understanding of how Moon Mountain Vineyard expresses the ageability, balance, freshness and texture that illustrate the very best of the Moon Mountain District appellation.
