Grower/Family:

Antonio Romanini, an Italian immigrant, planted his first vineyard in Sonoma Valley in 1954. The alluvial soils of this vineyard produce perfectly balanced Pinot Noir, with compact clusters and yields rarely higher than 2.5 tons per acre from Pommard and Calera Clones on 101-14 rootstock. Adding to the provenance of this vineyard is the fact that it is farmed by the originator and guru of organic vineyard farming in California, Phil Coturri, and his management team from Enterprise Vineyards.

Vineyard Overview:

The fruit intensity is influenced by the growing season’s cool nights and warm days. This maritime climate is conducive to growing some of the finest Pinot Noir with opulent red color, voluptuous body and pure rich dark fruit flavors with a well-balanced palate due to natural acidity.
