Meadowcroft Wines (www.meadowcroftwines.com) is celebrating a bountiful harvest with its inaugural Harvest Party in its Pinot Noir vineyard on Saturday, October 12, 2013 beginning at 12 Noon. Meadowcroft’s resident Chef and wine educator Darby Tarantino will prepare a gourmet lunch featuring the finest and freshest farm to table vegetables and cheeses in Sonoma. Chef Tarantino is a graduate of the Ballymaloe Cookery School (www.cookingisfun.ie) in County Cork, Ireland. The school is the only one in the world set in the middle of its own 100 acre organic farm.
In addition to a number of wines that will be chosen to pair with the luncheon, the Meadowcroft Pinot Noir that was harvested from this vineyard in 2011 will be served.
Singer-songwriter and front man for Sonoma-based band Ten Foot Tone, Jon Williams will provide the proper groove for the Harvest Party with his original songs and a few well chosen cover songs.
Tickets are $45 per person and $35 per person for Wine Club members. Seating will be limited. Reservations may be made by calling the tasting room at 707/934-4090.
